Allison Stokke, born in Newport Beach in March 1989 is one of America's most famous and wealthiest Pole Vaulters. A photo of her competing in a track meet for teenagers went viral in 2007, and she was made the pole vaulter of her dreams. Instagram and Twitter are now her most popular social media platforms. She's an athlete who shares a track record to Jessica Ennis Hill. It was noted by the Los Angeles Times among others that Stokke did not seek or support such attention. The authors of their work Technology Power and Culture in the Network Society Brett Hutchins and David Rowe linked Stokke's case with the case of American soccer players Alex Morgan and Hope Solo female athletes who were fetishized and saw their public image being framed in a manner which, according to the authors, diminished their sporting achievements. Stokke was also the target of insulting social media remarks and the authors attributed this process of sexualization solely on the women. Many others made parallels to Brandi Chastain's celebration after winning the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup Final wearing a sports bra where women's athletic achievements were masked by the discussion of their looks. Stokke was photographed at New York by a Californian reporter for an online track and events website during the first half of 2007. With Leather, a popular sports website that attracts a lot of male readers, re-posted the photo in May under the title Pole Vaulting Is Sexy Barely legal. Matt Ufford threatened to file lawsuit against the photographer, if that image was not deleted. But by then the post and its images were gaining lots of media attention. Stokke had a site dedicated to her with images of her at the pole vault. When these images spread over social media they attracted thousands. Alyce Caron..............Alyce Caron was born in Houston in the United States in February 1957. She wanted Florida to complete her the high school. When she graduated in 1974, she opted to approach her career in a different way through her work experience. Alyce was raised by a professor's sister. The sister of her is professor at the college level and receives support from her family. Alyce resides in Texas along with her parents who are both employed by the U.S. Army. The Alyce family celebrated their 92nd birth anniversary three years earlier. Alyce shared a picture of her stunning daughter via social media to pay tribute to her father's dedication to his country in the U.S. Army. Her daughter, who is more interested in education than her father and won the national merit award at the University of Michigan in 2020, also shows more desire to attend school.
