Alison Maria Krauss - born July 23rd 1971 - is a popular American bluegrass and country vocalist. Alison Maria Krauss began her music career as a child and was a winner of local contests by the age of 10. Her first recording was her first recording at the age 14. Signed by Rounder Records, her first album came out in 1987. She was then invited to join Alison Krauss Union Station, which is the group she performs together. The first album she released in a group with this band was released in 1989.
