Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, is a singer-songwriter and Canadian American. Over 20 albums have been made available by her. Her songs are classified by the label as alternative and folk. However, they also have influences from hip hop music, jazz, and punk. Ani DiFranco was the very first artist to establish her own record label in 1990. Ani is widely considered to be a feminist icon. DiFranco is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They met in The Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
